Jalen Rose Files For Divorce From ‘ESPN’ Host Molly Qerim & Releases A Statement
It looks like Jalen Rose will soon be back on the market again.
According to reports, the 48-year-old retired NBA player has filed for divorce from ESPN host, Molly Qerim, 37. Today (December 8) Jalen Rose released a statement via his Instagram stories about his pending divorce. In the statement, Jalen Rose shared that he and Molly Qerim have been separated for almost a year. He added,
“We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward.”
Reportedly, court records show that Jalen initially filed documents to end his marriage earlier this year on April 30, 2021, just months after the couple starred in a Gatorade commercial together.
The legal documents also mention that the marriage started to deteriorate after Molly Qerim moved to Connecticut. In addition to that, Jalen made it clear that he does not want alimony and doesn’t want Molly to have it, either. According to reports, there was not a prenup between the former love birds. However, Molly reportedly isn’t requesting any spousal support from the University of Michigan alumnus. An insider claims that the split was was amicable and both sides remain cordial.
As previously reported, Jalen and Molly first went public with their relationship in 2016 and married two years later in 2018. Following their marriage, Molly added “Rose” to her profile name on both Instagram and Twitter, but she’s recently removed the famed last name from her all of her social media platforms.
Despite their pending divorce, there’s a chance that Jalen and Molly will still be around each other often because they both work for ESPN. Molly has yet to publicly speak on the breakup.
