Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Sentencing Date Postponed

Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Sentencing Date Postponed Until March 2022
Kenneth Petty will get to spend a bit more time at home as he awaits his sentencing date.
As you may recall, Nicki Minaj‘s controversial husband–Kenneth Petty–was memorably arrested last year for failing to register as a sex offender in California. For context, Kenneth Petty is required to be on the sex offender registry on account of a 1995 sexual assault conviction.
Back in August, Kenneth Petty accepted a plea deal over the matter, and he now faces a minimum of five years of supervised release–though he could still face time behind bars.
Now, there has been a new update to the situation. According to Radar Online, prosecutors agreed to delay Petty‘s sentencing date–which was originally scheduled for early 2022–by pushing it back by a couple of months. Specifically, Kenneth Petty is now due in court on March 30th as opposed to January 24th, giving him a bit more time to spend with his family.

Aside from this legal matter, the couple is also currently engaged in a civil lawsuit brought on by Jennifer Hough, who was assaulted by Petty when she was 16. Jennifer Hough claims that, following Petty‘s 2020 arrest, he and Nicki Minaj began harassing her to recant her past sexual assault allegations.
