According to news reports, the 31-year-old mother of at least one of rapper Young Thug’s children, was fatally shot at an Atlanta bowling alley yesterday (March 17) evening.

Reportedly, LaKevia Jackson was at Metro Fun Center along Metropolitan Pkwy in southwest Atlanta attending a birthday party, when a bowling ball mishap escalated. The report states that the suspected shooter waited for LaKevia to leave the bowling alley after the altercation, where they opened fired and killed her.

Atlanta PD has not released any details about the suspected shooter, but has stated that they believe they are close to an arrest using ballistic, surveillance, and witness evidence. Homicide Commander Lt. Ralph Woolfolk had this to say:
“This is truly an atrocity. A young lady has lost her life over a bowling ball. We talk about conflict resolution time and time again and this is an escalated dispute, so we will work this case through the night and we will find the person responsible.”
Once medical examiners identified LaKevia as the victim, her mother, Sherina Jackson offered photos and a statement to Atlanta news outlet CBS46. She stated:
“I didn’t know that was going to be the last time I talked to my baby. I could hear her over the phone crying and screaming then her best friend said she’s not breathing! I lost my baby over a bowling ball!”

According to Revolt, The Neighborhood Talk first confirmed that LaKevia is the mother of at least one of the “Stoner” rappers six children. It’s unclear how many children they share.
Young Thug has yet to make any public statements regarding LaKevia’s death.
