Justin Bieber Asks Judge To Throw Out Defamation Lawsuit Against Sexual Assault Accusers

Justin Bieber Asks Judge To Throw Out Defamation Lawsuit Against Sexual Assault Accusers
Justin Bieber has asked a judge to dismiss his defamation lawsuit against two women who accused him of sexual assault.
The singer reportedly filed the lawsuit in 2020 after the women claimed he sexually assaulted them in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Justin Bieber, 28, reportedly stands by his denial but is dismissing the case.
“Because he felt he’d made his point and wanted to move on.”

The first accuser, known as Danielle, claimed Justin Bieber assaulted her in 2014. She alleged she met him at a show in Austin, Texas, and joined him at a hotel later.
There, she claimed, he “sexually assaulted [her],” even though she “told him that this was going too far and that [they] should stop.”
Bieber wrote on Twitter that there was “no truth” to her story and shared receipts that he was with his then-girlfriend Selena Gomez on the day she claimed the assault had occurred.

The second woman, Kadi, claimed the “Baby” singer raped her at a New York hotel in 2015. Lawyers for the musician countered that Kadi was actually a “superfan” and said her claims couldn’t have been true because Bieber was somewhere else at the time.
“Rumors are rumors but sexual abuse is something I don’t take lightly. … There is no truth to this,” he wrote in a tweet at the time.
