Wendy Williams Speaks Out Amid Wells Fargo Battle: ‘This Is Not Fair’

Wendy Williams is opening up more about her battle with Wells Fargo.

It was previously reported that the bank froze her account due to its concern for “financial exploitation, dementia or undue influence.” Wells Fargo allegedly claimed that Wendy Williams is an “incapacitated person” in need of a guardianship, which Wendy Williams has resisted. She seemingly has not had access to her money since January and is now fighting in court to regain access to her funds.

Williams, 57, spoke further about the situation in a video posted online. She said:

“My thing is that I’ve been asking questions about my money. And when I began asking questions about my money, suddenly Lori Schiller [her former financial advisor] has no response regarding my money.  I want my money. This is not fair. And Wells Fargo has no questions and answers with regarding my money. This is not fair.”

She also accused her former manager Bernie Young of using her banking card against her will. She shared:

“I know for a fact that Bernie Young used my American Express card to hire an attorney to file a petition against me. That was done with my American Express card. Bernie Young, you are no good. And this is not fair at all.”

A source previously said the bank thought Bernie Young “was someone who was acting in her best interest.” But clearly, Williams disagrees.

She also criticized the court’s handling of the case, saying:

“Without evidence, [the court system] is being weird to me. Without evidence, they took all this information and continued with what’s going on with me based on what Wells Fargo is doing. This is not fair. This is not fair.”

She concluded her message with a plea for Lori Schiller, Bernie Young, and Wells Fargo to “please let [her] have access to her money” and thanking them for listening.
