Kandi Responds To Phaedra’s Recent Comments and Shade About ‘RHOA’: “I Don’t Even Have Time To Really Worry About When Somebody’s Shading Me”
Kandi has too much going on to focus on the shade!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi responded to remarks made about her by former RHOA co-star Phaedra Parks, earlier Tuesday on The Wendy Williams Show. Phaedra gave praises and grievances when asked about her former friend turned foe.
Kandi didn’t shy away from the comments during an Amazon business live stream, Making Money With Kandi Burruss:
“It’s okay, she’s a professional shade queen and I don’t even take nothing personal, I don’t even care you know what I mean? It’s like – I don’t care, it’s all good. I’m happy that she happy in her life, honey.”
She also added that she sees the shady “likes and comments” on Instagram that people (seemingly alluding to Phaedra) leave.
“And whoever is liking a post where someone is shading me. Have you ever, honestly liked a post and you didn’t realize the person is shading and you realize later?”
Kandi rarely speaks about her past relationship with Phaedra after their dramatic fallout during season nine of RHOA, where fellow co-star Porsha Williams outed Phaedra as the person who started a nasty rumor about Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker.
Phaedra admitted to starting the rumor that Kandi and her husband had plans to “drug” Porsha. This revelation ended their friendship and Phaedra’s time on the show, the mom of two reportedly left the show after the explosive reunion.
Phaedra commented on the current state of RHOA and responded that it felt “so good” when asked how it feels to no longer be on television. Despite their past drama, Phaedra still gives Kandi her flowers – not without shading the reality show:
“I’ve seen her out – I mean, Kandi is a great businesswoman but [our drama] was six years ago. As you well know, I’m yachting in Dubai. So, you know, I’ll leave the girls in Atlanta on the Titanic.”
Kandi continued to stay neutral when speaking about Phaedra, saying:
“What I found in my llife is that when people do negative things towards me, I’ve been able to learn how to turn those negatives into some positive dividends honey, so I have become a master at it. So, I don’t care, shade me if you want. You gon’ have to shade me and keep watching me.”
The once friends remain at odds and there seems to be no sign of return!
