Wendy Williams Reportedly On Good Terms W/ Debmar-Mercury Following The End Of Talk Show, Has Plans To Launch Her Own Podcast Series
Wendy Williams is ready to take on the next chapter in her life!
On Friday (June 17), after 13 years, “The Wendy Williams Show” came to an end. Actress Sherri Shepherd, 55, had the pleasure of being one of the celebrity guests who filled in for Wendy during the final season of her talk show. As previously reported, Wendy Williams was absent during the final 13th season due to reported ongoing health issues. Sherri Shepherd is set to replace the series with her own talk show that will air this fall.

During the last episdoe of “The Wendy Williams Show” Sherri Shepherd told the audience she was “honored” and it has been a “privilege” to have been picked to be one of Williams’ guest host. Before Williams’ tribute, Sherri Shepherd gave the staff, crew, and loyal fans their flowers for making “The Wendy Williams Show” successful during its run.

Shepherd shared:
“You have to say, there is nobody like Wendy Williams. From her days on the radio, to ruling daytime talk for 13 seasons, Wendy earned her title as the queen of all media.”
Shepherd continued:
“If you think about it, Wendy Williams changed daytime talk with her unique take on ‘Hot Topics,’ her one-of-a-kind celebrity interviews, the signature ‘Ask Wendy’ segments and, of course, y’all, her famous ‘How you doin?'”
Shepherd added:
“And I wanna say: Miss Wendy you are an icon and you are loved by so many, so many.”

Following the show’s finale, in a recent interview Williams, 57, spoke about what’s next in her career with Billy Bush, 50. According to Billy Bush, Williams spoke with the managers of Debmar-Mercury, Mort Marcus, and Ira Bernstein, leaders of the production company that runs “The Wendy Williams Show.” Billy Bush stated that they are all on good terms and came to a conclusion that it was time for the series to end. Williams allegedly told Bush that in the near future she had plans to release a podcast series with iTunes.
