Justin Timberlake Sued By Director Over Unreleased Docu
It looks like Justin Timberlake is in the middle of a lawsuit!
According to reports, the director for Justin Timberlake’s documentary on his blockbuster album “The 20/20 Experience” is suing the singer. A man named John Urbano, claims Timberlake recruited him back in 2012 to shoot and edit a documentary film about the making of his third studio album.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by sources, Urbano claims Justin Timberlake, 41, proposed an arrangement where he would share profits from the film with the director instead of paying him his normal fee. However, Justin chose to shelve the documentary, which greatly affected how the director got paid.

John Urbano claims he filmed Justin for a total of 60 days all across the world and spent roughly 2,500 hours editing the footage into a documentary titled, “The Making of The 20/20 Experience.”
The director says if he had been paid up front for the project, his filming and editing fees would have reached $2,450,000 based on the amount of work he did. However, Urbano says the only money he’s received from Justin Timberlake is a modest $20,000 upfront fee, plus reimbursements for expenses incurred while filming.

Urbano claims the ‘SexyBack’ singerĀ was initially on board with the documentary, but after his album became his most successful solo project to date, he reportedly lost interest in the doc, which still has never been released. With the documentary shelved, this means Justin was unable to share profits with the director and the big payday promised was no more.
Urbano claims Justin Timberlake used his network of agents, managers, and handlers to stop him from getting paid. The director now wants compensation for an alleged breached agreement. In addition, Urbano also wants a judge to declare he owns all the rights to the unreleased documentary.
Justin Timberlake has yet to speak out on the lawsuit.
