Diddy And Jermaine Dupri Say They Will Do A “Hit For Hit” Show: It Ain’t No Verzuz
Diddy and Jermaine Dupri finally agree to go song for song, but without Verzuz.
Hip-hop moguls Diddy and Jermaine Dupri have been going back and forth about a potential Verzuz battle for almost a year. As we reported last year, they have been sharing slight digs at each other on social media, but recently shared that they would go “hit for hit” rather than compete with each other.
They were in conversation on Instagram Live this week when Diddy jokingly challenged Jermaine to a battle:
“J.D., if you want that smoke you can get that smoke anytime.”

Jermaine Dupri
They both laughed as Jermaine immediately said “relax.”
Diddy then added:
“Since we ain’t f***king around with Verzuz no more ’cause they f***king around with our boys, we don’t need to be going against each other.”

P. Diddy
Diddy is referring to the ongoing legal battle between Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and social media site Triller over money paid to the two hip-hop legends after Triller purchased their Verzuz series. Swizz and Timbaland are suing Triller for $28 million dollars. Diddy told JD,
“Let’s come together and do that Bad Boy, So So Def in Atlanta. It ain’t no Verzuz, it’s just hit for hit.”
Diddy and Jermaine did not mention when it would happen.
