Update: ‘RHOA’ Star NeNe Leakes Confirms 23-Year-Old Son Brentt Had Both Congestive Heart Failure & A Stroke: He’s Struggling With Speaking

Update: (Oct. 10, 2022): NeNe confirms her son Brentt had both congestive heart failure and a stroke. In a video shared online, she said,

“Everybody’s asking and concerned about Brentt and we thank you guys so much.”

She continued,

“Two weeks ago today Brentt had congestive heart failure and a stroke. He’s only 23, so he’s really young for something like that to happen to him.”

NeNe then noted that despite what some may think, “Brentt doesn’t drink or do drugs.”

She also shared that doctors tested him for drugs, HIV, and COVID in hopes of finding the cause of his ailments. All tests came up negative and doctors are still trying to figure out what “could have possibly made this happen to him.” She added,

“Obviously, a stroke is a very serious thing and so he’s struggling with speaking and it’s… I don’t know.”

NeNe also gave supporters an update on her lounge, The Linnethia Lounge, which her son ran and she called his “pride and joy.” According to the reality star, the lounge is currently still open but her family is now considering selling the business. She added,

“This is just a lot right now on me. So if there’s anybody out there that’s possibly interested in [The Linnethia Lounge] send them my way.”

Original Story (Oct. 10, 2022): Very alarming news. According to TMZ, NeNe Leakes 23-year-old son, Brentt, had a frightening medical emergency.

Sources say that Brentt Leakes was in Atlanta earlier this month when he suffered both a heart attack and a stroke. Thankfully, he was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

Reportedly, Brentt was hospitalized for several days, and is expected to make a full recovery.
