Kylie Jenner Opens Up About Her Struggles w/ Postpartum Depression, Says She Cried For Three Weeks Straight After Son’s Birth
Kylie Jenner is getting candid about the postpartum depression she experienced after giving birth to her son.
During a recent episode of ‘The Kardashians,’ Kylie Jenner admitted that “It’s been really hard” since she gave birth to her son in February. It’s worth noting that this episode was filmed back in April.
When Kylie’s sister Kendall Jenner suggested that her postpartum hormones were “probably all over the place,” Kylie agreed and explained the difficult time she was having.
The makeup mogul shared,
“I cried for, like, three weeks … every day to the point where I would be laying in bed and my head would just hurt so bad…It’s just the baby blues and then it kind of goes away.”
Thankfully, Kylie then assured her sister that she was doing much better now. She said,
“But I feel better mentally. I’m not crying everyday so that’s great. I don’t have bad days with my body.. I love my body. I’m embracing my PP body: Postpartum.”
In her confessional, Kylie Jenner noted,
“I’m not a doctor, but I read on Google [that] they call it baby blues when it doesn’t last past six weeks. After about six weeks, I started to feel better, but I definitely had a case of the blues.”
Later in the episode, Kylie revealed she hadn’t had a night out in nearly one year. Although Kendall invited her sister to an 818 Tequila event in Las Vegas, the businesswoman backed out at the last minute to stay home with her son and 4-year-old daughter Stormi.
The reality tv star is now a mother of two after welcoming her baby boy with longtime boyfriend Travis Scott on February 2, 2022. The pair seemingly named their first child with ease, but they reportedly still haven’t finalized a name for their youngest child.
During a September episode of ‘The Kardashians,’ Kylie Jenner revealed that she only chose the name ‘Wolf’ for her infant son because she felt pressured to do so at the time of his birth.
Kylie explained to her mother, Kris Jenner:
“We thought it was going to come to us when we saw him and it didn’t. Then we had to sign the birth certificate — or else they register him without a name or Social Security number — so I felt the pressure to choose a name.”
Not too long after her son was born Kylie shared she had his name changed. On March 21, she announced on her Instagram,
“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
While the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has given glimpses of her 8-month-old via Instagram, she has yet to show his face.
