Actor Broderick Hunter & Girlfriend Mairama Diallo Announce Engagement, Fans React: I Just Fell To My Knees

After three years of dating, Broderick Hunter,31, and Mariama Diallo,28, are officially engaged.

The love birds shared the news in a joint Instagram post. In the image, Broderick Hunter and Mariama Diallo are seen standing closely, with Mariama’s left hand resting on her lover’s chest, and a sparkling diamond beaming from her ring finger.

The heartfelt caption says,

“Forever with my best friend. Beyond blessed to be sharing this next chapter and ever after with you. If you know us, you know how special our connection is. It’s crazy how Allah crossed our paths just WEEKS after I prayed for you. I am filled with so much gratitude.”

The continues,

“Thank you for loving me unconditionally, being so kind with me, and patient. You are my bestfriend and I thank God everyday for this life with you.  If you know where I am from, you know how against the grain this is but I hope you know I am in great hands. We have been prepping for this for months and excited to be sharing this new journey with you. Next phase : Nikkah Ceremony. Mashallah. I love you and excited to spend forever with you.”

Mariama also warned Broderick’s fans not to get too crazy in the comment section.

“Remember: this is my page and a safe space. No negativity will be tolerated.”

It may have been a wise move to add the disclaimer because it looks like the engagement news may have broken some hearts.

Broderick Hunter is best known for his roles on Insecure and A Black Lady Sketch Show. Most recently, he appeared as the love interest in Chloe Bailey’s video for her song Surprise.  Mariama Diallo has a few acting credits of her own. She played model Iman in HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and on the BET+ series The Black Hamptons. Both lovebirds appeared in Jussie Smollett’s B-Boy Blues.
