NBA’s Draymond Green Says LeBron James Is Better Than Michael Jordan
NBA player Draymond Green has chimed in on the greatest of all time basketball debate and says he is sticking beside LeBron James!
According to reports, the 32-year-old Golden State Warriors star didn’t hesitate when discussing his top-five NBA players of all time on the latest episode of “Throwing Bones.”
During the interview, Draymond Green reportedly said he believes LeBron James is a better basketball player than Michael Jordan, declaring the Lakers forward the GOAT on the court.
As you may already know, LeBron James, nicknamed “King James,” is widely considered one of the greatest players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan, 59, in debates over the greatest basketball player of all time.
Former professional basketball player Michael Jordan, also known by his initials MJ, reportedly has a biography on the official NBA website that states: “By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time.”
As far as Draymond Green’s reasoning for his top pick, he reportedly mentioned James’ run as the industry’s best, as well as the 37-year-old’s impeccable skill set. Most importantly, Green noted the competition James faced back-to-back over the years sets him apart from his colleagues in the organization.
Green said,
“MJ didn’t beat the greatest team ever assembled. Nor did he run up against the greatest team ever assembled every year.”
He continued,
“There’s nobody that has ever played the game of basketball that can do what LeBron James does on a basketball court. Nobody.”
Green added,
“I’m sure one of the old f***s is going to say, ‘You’re out of your mind’ and this that and the other. The talent is way better [during LeBron’s era], just like the talent at Apple is way better than the talent that was working at Apple in 1991.”
Reports state that the debate has went on for years, with Jordan’s supporters pointing to his 6-0 championship record to give him the crown, while James’ fans have highlighted The King’s record-breaking stats (he’s less than 1,000 points away from being the Association’s all-time leading scorer).
