Drake’s Teenage Lyrics Found Abandoned In Uncle’s Factory Dumpster, Expected To Sell For $20K
One crazed Drake fan has the chance of owning lyrics written by the rapper during his teenage years.
According to reports, Drake spent some of his younger years working at his uncle’s Memphis furniture factory. After the establishment eventually closed down, someone found lyrics that allegedly belonged to teen Drake in the dumpster.
The pages of the notebook were written like poetry, with one line saying,
“Plates/passed around for collection/Raising money for cheap cell phones with no reception.”
Reportedly, the pages also featured a song called “Come Spring,” which eventually evolved into “Come Winter” from his pre-fame debut mixtape “Room For Improvement.”
The old lyrics will reportedly be sold by Moments In Time auction house for $20,000.
Drake has definitely come a long way from writing raps in notebooks while clocked in at his family’s business. As previously reported, his latest joint album with 21 Savage, “Her Loss,” surpassed one billion Spotify streams in a little under two months! The album, which features 16 tracks, was released on Nov. 4 following a slight delay when one of the project’s producers contracted COVID.
