Nick Cannon Welcomes His 12th Child, 2nd w/Alyssa Scott

Congratulations are in order!

Media personality Nick Cannon, 42, and model Alyssa Scott, 29, have welcomed their second child together, a baby girl named Halo Marie Cannon.

Scott made the announcement in a heart warming video posted to her instagram account. Sharing clips of the newborns arrival, the “Wild N’ Out” cast member wrote:

“December 14 2022. Our lives are forever changed Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us. He shows me signs everyday. I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying “it’s a girl” and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

The arrival of baby Halo is surely a beautiful yet emotional time for both Scott and Cannon. Late last year, the parents sadly lost their first child together, a son named Zen. The newborn passed away at 5-months-old after being diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. During a recent interview, Cannon shared how they found out about Zen’s diagnosis, and wanting their child to have the best experience of life possible, even if it would be short. The “Masked Singer” host stated:

“They did a lot of tests. They didn’t let him leave the hospital…You could imagine you think you’re taking your son in to get a checkup for — at the worst, I was thinking asthma, you know? And to know that he gets diagnosed with brain cancer, that was a shock.”

Adding:

“When I heard that, I thought quality of life. I wanted him to have the best existence he could have.”

However, both Cannon and Scott have seemed to be elated upon finding out they were expecting again. Both parents celebrated their bundle of joy after revealing Scott was with child. The mother of three shared a glimpse of baby Halo’s face during the short welcome video.

With the new baby’s arrival, Cannon seems to have welcomed all the children that the public knows of to date. This year alone, the entertainer also welcomed daughter Beautiful Zeppelina with model Abby De La Rosa, son Rise Messiah with model Brittany Bell, son Legendary Love with model Bre Tiesi, and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with model LaNisha Cole. Earlier this month, Cole seemingly shaded her child’s father after Cannon was seen posing for several holiday photo-ops with his other children and their mothers.

In total, that brings the Cannon offspring to a group of 12. It’s certainly exciting to see what the next year may hold for the famed father and entertainer!
