Joan Rivers Says Chelsea Handler “F*cked Her Way to the Top” + How Ciara (Sorta) Broke Chelsea & 50 Up

36-year- old comedienne/actor/TV host Chelsea Handler sat down with Howard Stern on his radio show to discuss a few hot topics. One of her main points was her explanation of what happened with her relationship with rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. It has been rumored that the two dated, briefly, but the public was never really sure what happened between them, since they got together and broke apart so quickly. Here’s what she had to say about her relationship with 50.

“We dated for a couple of months. He was going to come with my family for Christmas vacation. Right before, Ciara was coming on the show and he called me to tell me about how she still calls him all the time and she’s still in love with him. I was at my job and I go, ‘Curtis, honestly, this is eighth grade shit. Why are you telling me this? This girl is coming to my show tomorrow, now I have to think that you guys have some weird thing going on?’ It was just so juvenile. When I’m at work, I work my ass off. And even though it’s not important work, I’m working hard. And he was like, ‘I want you to get on this conversation.’ And he started calling someone. And I’m like, ‘No, I dont want a 3-way phone call, this isn’t 3rd grade. You’re telling me this girl wants to get back together with you and she’s upset that you’re dating me? Is that what you’re saying?’ He’s like, ‘Yea, Yea.’ So then whatever I called him [after that] was probably the worst thing you can say to a Black person, short of calling him the N-word. I said you’re a street person, basically. Like something along the lines of being a ganster. It was really really offensive, and I hung up and I’ve never spoken to him again… My friends were like, ‘You will never hear from him again. This is a proud, Black man and you basically just tore him apart… You totally insulted him.’ I said something like [‘you’re gehtto] and you have no business talking to someone like me.'”

While there, she also talked about her feelings about 78 year old comedienne/TV personality Joan Rivers. She mocked Joan Rivers and told her to

“fuck off!”

Joan Rivers, coincidentally, went on Howard Stern’s show the next day and gave her opinion of Chelsea. She said,

“She’s fine, she’s ordinary. She’s not a genius. She’s an ordinary girl who just fucked somebody high up in the industry. They gave her a break, now she’s doing OK… I’ll go over and say ‘Hello’ and she’ll ignore me. Who the fuck do you think you are?… Whatever she is, she’s a drunk. I don’t wish her good luck, I don’t wish her bad luck, I don’t care… I don’t think she’s particularly funny, but don’t you come after me you whore.”
