Demi Moore’s Rep Confirms Hospitalization for ‘Exhaustion’
Monday night, a call was made from actress Demi Moore’s house in Los Angeles at 10:45 pm after which she was rushed to the local hospital. Reportedly, the 49-year-old was with a female friend, when she began to shake like she was having a seizure. Some sources say it was due to exhaustion others claim that it was a result of substance abuse. Moore’s rep says,
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional help to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
Regardless of the reason behind her hospitalization, her divorce from husband of six years Ashton Kutcher back in November has obviously taken quite a toll on her. A few days after the divorce announcement, Moore fled to Hawaii for a week, because according to a friend,
“She’s determined to clear Ashton out of her life but she has been crying and crying. Demi is heartbroken but keeps repeating the same mantra, ‘I have to be strong.’ She’s in Hawaii to do a bit of soul searching. We’re very worried about her.”
And it looks like they had good reason to worry as over the past four months, she has lost an alarming amount of weight and has been partially secluded from society. Also, in a recent openly honest interview with US Harper’s Bazaar, Moore admitted,
“What scares me is that i’m going to ultimately find out at the end of my life that i’m really not lovable, that i’m not worthy of being loved, that there’s something fundamentally wrong with me.”
And it looks like Monday she finally reached her breaking point. Meanwhile Kutcher was spotted in Sao Paulo where he has been for Fashion Week. There have also been rumors that the 33-year-old has already moved on from his failed marriage and is currently dating screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, as the two spent Christmas together in Europe. I guess it’s true when they say “when hearts break they don’t break even.” [As of Tuesday morning, no update on Moore’s health/status had been released.]
