Malu Trevejo’s Ex-Personal Assistant Drops Lawsuit Accusing Singer Of Alleged Harassment
Malu Trevejo’s former personal assistant has dropped his lawsuit against the singer over claims of Harassment.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline, Witchneverson Lacroix has informed the court he is voluntarily dismissing all claims against Malu Trevejo. His dismissal is with prejudice, meaning he cannot refile the claims at a later date.
Trevejo’s attorney told RadarOnline,
“We are happy with that result and will keep vigorously defending Malu and her name against the other plaintiffs.”
In January, Malu Trevejo was sued by four ex-employees, Lacroix, Victoria Barreto, Ralph Colo, and Edwardo Vidal, for alleged harassment, battery, defamation, and sexual misconduct. The parties demanded $4 million in damages. According to the former employees, Malu forced them to endure horrible work conditions during their employment.
Lacroix–who worked as Malu’s personal assistant–said his job duties included dealing with ex-employees who were owed money which he said led to people threatening him. In the lawsuit, he claimed one former employee told him that they,
“knew where him and his family lived and that he would be subject to bombings and other such violent acts if [Malu] did not pay them.”
Lacroix also accused Malu Trevejo of harassment, claiming he witnessed the entertainer verbally abuse other employees.
Malu’s lawyer said at the time,
“Ms. Trevejo is aware of the false allegations in the lawsuit and looks forward to defending herself against these baseless claims.”
A source close to the singer said she was “devastated” by the allegations made against her. They claimed Malu had a good heart and would never hurt anyone like the suit claimed.
As previously reported, Malu filed her own lawsuit against Mel B’s ex-husband Stephen Belafonte for fraud. She claimed the businessman swindled her into signing a binding deal to have him represent her as her manager after Belafonte discovered her in 2020. Not only that, she said the agreement he had her sign was completely one-sided and only benefited him.
However, Stephen Belafonte’s attorney, Eduardo Martorell, says Malu Trevejo’s lawsuit is just an attempt to distract from the allegations that the singer was abusive towards her staff.
