Kim Kardashian Says She’s Done Being Kanye West’s ‘Clean-Up Crew’

It looks like Kim Kardashian has reached her breaking point with her ex-husband Kanye West.

On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian cried to her mom Kris Jenner about her ex’s antics. You may recall that last year Kanye West made many disparaging remarks against her family and loved ones. The rapper was also in the hot seat for his antisemitic rants.

Kim told her mom,

“I’m stuck with this for the rest of my life, and I’m just so overwhelmed. That’s the tragic part of the whole story.”

Through tears, Kim shared in her confessional,

“I still feel the need to not talk about it and protect it from my kids and I always will feel that way, but God, if people knew … I just would never do that to my kids. It just is really crazy.”

She added,

“It’s the hardest feeling to watch someone you really loved and you have a family with just be so different than who you knew.”

In the conversation with her mom, Kim Kardashian said Kanye West might need to hit “rock bottom” in order to see the error of his ways.

She explained,

“Sometimes I feel like if he were to hit rock bottom, that’s his journey that he needs to figure out on his own. I used to run around and call everyone behind his back, and be like, ‘It’s gonna be OK, it’s gonna be OK, don’t worry. Just give him another chance.’ I used to spend hours and hours and hours of my day to be the clean-up crew. I just don’t have that energy.”

Kim and Kanye tied the knot in 2014 and divorced in 2021. As mentioned above, since their split, the controversial rapper has made several harsh comments about his ex-wife and her family. He also targeted Kim Kardashian’s former relationship with Pete Davidson. Kim and Pete Davidson began dating in October 2021 and reportedly broke up in August 2022.

In last week’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim spoke about Kanye and how his questionable behavior may affect their children one day. According to Kim, Kanye’s wrongdoings will have more of a negative impact on their children than her infamous sex tape ever will.

She said,

“All of his shenanigans is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be and I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them.”
