Meghan Markle’s Half-Sister Gets Trial Date For $75,000 Defamation Lawsuit, Says She Was Subjected To ‘Humiliation & Hatred’ Following Tell-All Oprah Interview
Looks like the Duchess of Sussex will be gearing up for court soon.
According to reports, Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Markle recently scored a court win and will move forward with her $75,000 lawsuit against her famous sibling.

Samantha Markle
As previously covered, Samantha Markle initially filed a lawsuit against Meghan Markle last year, claiming the celeb lied about their relationship which caused her to be “humiliated” and suffer financially. Samantha’s accusations that her father’s daughter was dishonest about the nature of their relationship followed the actress’ headlining interview with Oprah Winfrey.
If you recall, Meghan was featured alongside her husband Prince Harry in the special, where she suggested Samantha’s previous statements about them being close were false and all but denied having any kind of relationship with her or her other half-siblings.
Samantha went on to sue for damages, arguing that her book “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1,” lost sales as a result of the interview. However, the case was ultimately dismissed by a court judge who ruled Meghan’s remarks were only opinion. It’s reported that Samantha refiled the $75,000 lawsuit recently, and was given a court date for November 2024.

Meghan Markle
At this time it doesn’t appear that Meghan nor anyone from her team has made any statements regarding the lawsuit. However, it is noted that she will not be required to attend the trial in person. She will, however, reportedly take part in pre-trial meetings “in person,” where she’ll confront her half-sister about the matter once and for all.
