Kanye West Says He ‘Deeply Regrets’ Any Pain He’s Caused The Jewish Community & Is ‘Committed To Making Amends’

Hip hop icon Kanye West has issued another apology for all the controversial remarks he made about Jewish people.

The 46-year-old penned a letter written to the Jewish community early this morning (Dec. 26), expressing his remorse over his many attacks towards them.

In the document posted to his Instagram page, written completely in Hebrew, Kanye West reportedly stated:

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any ‘unintended outburst’ caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”

He continued:

“I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

The post comes more than a year after the rap star was condemned over a string of interviews and posts of problematic remarks he made about Jews and their alleged control in the media.

If you recall, West first appeared on N.O.R.E.’s podcast Drink Champs speaking about the topic last October. During the episode, the Grammy Award winner claimed he was blackballed from the music industry by powerful Jews and insisted they were behind a secret agenda to prevent the Black community from thriving, among many other things.

In subsequent tweets, West turned up his attack and went as far as saying he was going “Death con 3 on Jewish people.” Additionally, he later made disturbing comments about seeing the good in Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, who was responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews during the Holocaust. West suffered a massive blow to his finances and career after the situation. The “Donda” artist lost several lucrative partnerships, including his collaborations with Adidas and GAP, ending his reign as a billionaire, and only recently returned to performing.

Also more recently, West once again made headlines for a remark he made about Jews, though a little different. In a snippet from a forthcoming single called “Vultures” that circulated last month, the musician rapped that he can’t be antisemitic because he “just f**ked a Jewish b**ch, sparking much discussion online. Subsequently, he was caught on camera in what seems to be a disorientated rant where he talked about his former friends turned foes in the industry, name-dropping the likes of Drake and Jay Z, and claimed that “Zionist” control hospitals and private schools.

At this time it’s unclear exactly which incident West is apologizing for. He hasn’t made any further remarks since uploading the apology around 3 am. It’s also noted that he seems to currently be on a small press run for his coming music project with Ty Dolla $ign.
