Update: Michael Strahan’s Daughter Isabella Is Cancer-Free!

Update: (July 18, 2024): Happy news!

Michael Strahan’s 19-year-old daughter Isabella revealed in a newly published YouTube video that she is officially cancer-free. During the vlog, she shared,

“Great scans, everything was clear. Cancer-free. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October.”

Before the video ended, she added,

“I miss my doctors already and everyone who’s helped me because they’re all so nice. I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for a while because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!”

As previously reported, Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (a cancerous tumor that develops in the back of the brain) in October 2023.

Original Story: (Jan. 11, 2024): Michael Strahan and his baby girl have shown an impeccable amount of strength.

In a recent interview, ‘Good Morning America’ host Michael Strahan’s daughter, Isabella, shockingly revealed that she’s been battling brain cancer.

According to the report, 19-year-old Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (a cancerous tumor that develops in the back of the brain) in October 2023.

Although the condition is commonly known among children, it was when Isabella began experiencing an “excruciating” level of headaches that she realized something was wrong.

She said in the sit-down with her father and broadcast journalist Robin Roberts,

“October 1st, that’s when I definitely noticed headaches, nausea, [and I] couldn’t walk straight.”

However, at that time, Isabella assumed it was just a casual case of vertigo causing her to feel off balance. The youngster continued:

“I thought I had vertigo ’cause I looked that up and associated that with [not] walking straight. So, that was my problem.”

As for Dad, Michael Strahan, he wasn’t aware of the severity of her headaches either. The former NFL player shared,

“[She was] eighteen years old at the time. You’re not thinking this. Maybe it’s vertigo, maybe it’s something else. But… she’s young, she’s strong, she’s healthy. Look at her, she looks great.”

Unfortunately, by the end of October, Isabella’s health continued to decline. The then-college student recounted throwing up blood one day, which (ultimately) sent her to the hospital.

After a series of tests, the doctor discovered a four-centimeter tumor on the lower part of Isabella’s brain. The lump was said to be larger than a golf ball.

Strahan, who received the troublesome news first, told interviewer Robin Roberts,

“I don’t really remember much. I just remember trying to figure out how to get to L.A… asap. And it just doesn’t feel real.”

Following the horrific finding, Isabella underwent an emergency procedure to remove the mass. Her recovery included having to learn how to walk again through a month-long rehab program.

But… the resilient individual is continuing to push forward in a major way. Not too long ago, she rang the bell on a last round of radiation before her scheduled start date for chemotherapy in February.

Additionally, she’s partnered with Duke Children’s Hospital to document her journey in an exclusive web series on YouTube.

Amid seeing the love and support that Isabella has garnered with her story, Strahan took to Instagram and gushed,

“I love you, Isabella, and will be right by your side. To all sending love, we thank you from the bottom of our heart.”

We send our deepest prayers out to Isabella and the entire Strahan family during this time.
