YFN Lucci Expected To Be Released On Probation In The Next 4 Months After Agreeing To Last Minute Plea Deal
Rap star YFN Lucci could be a free man soon.
According to reports, the 32-year-old recently entered a plea deal relating to his 2021 RICO arrest and was handed a sentence that could result in an early release.

Reportedly YFN Lucci, real name Rayshawn Bennett, had 12 of 13 charges initially drawn against him dropped as part of the agreement. In case you’re unfamiliar, the Atlanta-based rapper surrendered to authorities back in 2021 after getting hit with a felony murder charge as part of a wide-scale RICO indictment. Several of the alleged assailants, including Lucci, were accused of committing a variety of crimes to protect and enhance the Bloods gang’s reputation and maintain control of territory over a period of time. The “Everyday We Lit” artist was specifically accused of driving a getaway vehicle involved in the shooting death of a rival gang member named James Adams.
Lucci has been incarcerated for nearly three years while prosecutors built their evidence for the trial. Initially, lawyers for the rapper claimed that he would not be accepting a plea deal and wanted to have his case heard in front of a jury. As we reported back in June of last year, Fulton County DA Fani Willis previously presented Lucci with a 20-year sentence deal, with 17 of them having to be served behind bars. However, he’d be required to confess to several crimes, including felony murder, racketeering, and aggravated assault. He ultimately opted not to sign on the dotted line.

Now, reports state that Lucci has managed to only plead guilty to one count of violating the street gang terrorism and prevention act, and received a 10-year sentence with 10 years probation. However, since he is being credited for time served – as he’s been behind bars since 2021 – his lawyers have shared their expectation that he only has a few months left before his release. In a statement regarding his client, attorney Drew Finding reportedly explained:
“As he has maintained for three years now, Mr. Bennett will NOT cooperate in any other case. By entering into this resolution, he will be eligible for parole in as early as four months from now.”
Adding:
“The prosecution has also agreed that he should be released early on parole and this will allow him to get back to his children, family and career.”
Reportedly, Lucci’s sentence includes parole eligibility after 40 months, and seeing as though he’s spent nearly 36 months behind bars already, his attorney expects that he’ll only be required to serve out 4 more months as long as he stays out of trouble.
