Erykah Badu Appears To Shade Nicki Minaj Amid Her Beef w/ Megan Thee Stallion: ‘Who’s The Queen Of Rap Again?’

It seems Erykah Badu may be taking sides in the Megan Thee Stallion vs Nicki Minaj rap beef.

The soul singer reposted a photo to her instagram story that appears to be throwing her support one way, and also made a questionable remark regarding “the queen of rap”.

As we’ve recently been covering, the internet has been lit up since Megan Thee Stallion dropped her record “HISS”, which seemingly included quite a few disses towards her rap rival Nicki Minaj. Songstress Erykah Badu seems to have gotten dragged into the situation after Minaj fans, known as the Barbz, claim she was online liking posts that were shady towards the “Pink Friday” artist.

During a conversation on X (formerly Twitter), one of Minaj’s fans directly questioned Badu about the situation after she made an arguably even more shady remark. The  two were discussing rapper Azelia Banks, who has never shied away from publicly expressing her disdain for Minaj, and often showing her support for whoever is on the other side of her many beefs. After Badu stated that Banks is actually a good friend of hers, the host told her to relay a message to musician:

“watch her mouth when she be speaking on the queen of rap”

To which Badu responded:

“Who is the queen of rap again?”

The host followed up by stating “you can google it” before aggressively going at Badu over the aforementioned shady post. When the individual questioned why she did so, the “Bag Lady” artist stated that she did not have to explain herself and proceeded to continuously ask the individual if they are an idiot. It’s unclear what post Badu liked that angered the Babrz so much. However, the singer wasn’t shy on about showing Megan some love amid the entire ordeal. On her instagram story, Badu reposted a promotional image of the self proclaimed ‘hot girl coach’ from the diss record, which has trended since its release.

Additionally, Badu left a few heart emoji’s under Megan’s picture, seemingly cementing her personal stance on the situation.
