Machine Gun Kelly Debuts Massive Upper Body Blackout Tattoo He Obtained ‘For Spiritual Purposes Only’
A tattoo is definitely one way to change your appearance.
Rapper-turned-rock-star Machine Gun Kelly took to Instagram today (Feb. 20) to debut his new look to the world. In the image, which currently serves as the only post on his IG account, Machine Gun Kelly appears shirtless with a blackout tattoo that covers a large portion of his upper torso. The unique design of the permanent body art shows off a few parts of the “Emo Girl” artist’s former colorful tattoos. For those who may be wondering why someone would undergo such a drastic change, Machine Gun Kelly, 33, said his new tattoo was done “for spiritual purposes only.”

In a post shared to his IG Stories, he noted the tattoo required 44 needles.

The tattoo artist behind the piece, ROXX, backed what MGK wrote for his IG caption and shared with TMZ that her client had a “spiritual consultation” with the entire process. Reportedly, MGK, real name Colson Baker, felt that his previous tattoos were a bit too chaotic for where he is now in life. ROXX also shared that they started the massive blackout tattoo sometime in December and the “One Way” actor had a total of 13 six-hour sessions. She added that the work isn’t 100% done and she has a little more to do before MGK can show off the full completed piece.
