Actors Kat Graham & Larenz Tate Land Roles In Upcoming Michael Jackson Biopic
Additional castings have been added to Michael Jackson’s upcoming biopic Michael.
The highly-anticipated film is currently in production and has brought on more big-name stars to help tell the story of the late pop icon and his rise to fame. More specifically, the record label Michael Jackson was a part of — Motown Records — will factor into the movie.

According to reports, actor Larenz Tate, 48, has been cast to portray Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, 94.

The music executive is most known for providing a platform for household talents such as the Jackson 5, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Diana Ross & The Supremes.

Additionally, actress Kat Graham, 34, is set to play legendary singer Diana Ross, 79.

It’s reported that Diana Ross — who was the lead singer of the girl group The Supremes — had a huge influence on a young Michael Jackson.

As previously reported, Michael’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, 27, will make his screen debut by playing the King of Pop in the film. In addition, Colman Domingo will play Michael’s father Joe Jackson and Nia Long will play Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson.

Producer of the film Graham King said,
“I’m thrilled that we were able to bring together such a gifted group of actors for this film. What they bring to these key roles provides a rich backdrop for the movie, adding to the extraordinary ensemble.”
