Cuba Gooding Jr. Speaks Out After Being Named In Lil Rod’s Lawsuit Against Diddy, Says He’s Only Ever Seen Diddy 2-3 Times: ‘I Don’t Know P. Diddy’s Life’

Update (May 9, 2024): Cuba Gooding Jr. is speaking out after Lil Rod named him in his bombshell lawsuit against Diddy.

In an appearance on the PMD Podcast, Cuba Gooding Jr. tells host Patrick Bet-David that Diddy’s home being raided in March was,

“the craziest thing ever.”

He then expressed shock over being named in the filing himself.

“I wake up in the morning. I turn on the ‘Today’ show [and hear] ‘Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. …’ Excuse me?! [You] pull me into this?”

He said he believes God has Diddy on a path of dealing with whatever he’s going through, adding,

“I can’t imagine him being stupid enough to do whatever he’s doing and keep it on his premises. I think that the raid and all of that stuff, only time will tell who was involved.”

He said he refused to speak out about it before because “I’m not defining myself from some headline in the press.” The actor then pointed out that he is dating Claudine De Niro, the former daughter-in-law of actor Robert De Niro. She was also a publicist who has worked with Naomi Campbell and DiddyWhen Claudine De Niro began working with Diddy, he had just been found not guilty and asked her for help, allegedly telling her, per Gooding,

“I’mma die running with these n*gg*s. I need you to help me with the white folks.”

Claudine De Niro then helped him change his image, however, Gooding said he didn’t meet Diddy until 2019/2020 when he and Claudine were invited to his home.

He referenced a photo that Lil Rod submitted to the court which showed the actor with his arm around Lil Rod while on a yacht. Cuba Gooding Jr. said there were probably 300 people on the boat at the time. He had been asked if he wanted to hear Diddy’s new song and sat down next to Lil Rod to listen. He showed the host a live photo, which shows a different angle and where music is heard in the background. He alleges Lil Rod submitted a more salacious angle in an effort to prove his case.

“He’s going after the money, I’m sure. I don’t know P. Diddy’s life. I don’t know what he’s going through…we were acquaintances. Two-three times I’ve seen him.”

He said he believed he was named because of “the cases I’ve already went through.”

Last year, he settled a civil lawsuit after being accused of sexual assault and avoided a trial.

Original Story (March 26, 2024): Music producer Lil Rod is making new allegations against Diddy and updated the defendants in his lawsuit.

According to reports, the beatmaker recently accused the billionaire of harassing him and his family members and is now also suing actor Cuba Gooding Jr. for sexual misconduct.

Reportedly, the new complaint claims that defendant Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sent hired help to the home of Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones’ 8-year-old daughter and her mother in an effort to intimidate them. Additionally, Jones claims that individuals also paid a visit to his ex-spouses and that Diddy, through other parties, has attempted to make contact with him as well. Seeing as though the two are currently embattled in an ongoing sexual abuse lawsuit, Jones’ lawyer wrote that the music professional and his family have become fearful of Diddy being “engaged in concerning behavior,” and are seeking court intervention.

As you may know, Jones filed a $30 million lawsuit against Diddy in February, alleging that while collaborating on Diddy’s 2023 The Love Album: Off the Grid, Jones was subjected to drugging, harassment, and sexual coercion from the hip-hop veteran. In an amendment to the suit filed on Monday (March 25th), Jones reportedly added Cuba Gooding Jr. as another defendant, accusing him of sexual abuse and molestation.

The amendment reportedly claims that the Bad Boys founder attempted to “pass off” Jones to Gooding at one of his yacht parties in January 2023. Detailing the incident, an excerpt from the legal document reportedly reads:

“Cuba Gooding Jr. began touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’ legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks and his shoulders,”

As part of the evidence, Jones reportedly submitted an image of himself and the Oscar-winning actor, and another photo of Gooding speaking with Diddy. His lawyer argues that Diddy “failed to step in and stop” Gooding from “sexually assaulting” Jones. The newest allegation against Gooding follows a string of sexual misconduct complaints the actor has faced over the past few years.

Jones’ latest courtroom submission was filed on the same day Diddy’s homes were raided as part of an ongoing investigation into his many sexual abuse accusations. As we recently covered, several individuals were interviewed by Homeland Security Agents yesterday (Mar. 25) as the government division also combed through Diddy’s houses in Miami and Los Angeles. No details about what may have been confiscated, other than several of the music mogul’s devices, have been reported at this time.

While Jones has reportedly settled with multiple of the original defendants named in the suit, he is seemingly planning to fully continue his civil suit against Diddy, and now, Gooding as well. Jones reportedly added elsewhere in the newly filed complaint that the REVOLT founder has been using his connections in the entertainment industry to run false stories about him on TMZ, and that he’s been attempting to bully Jones into hiring a lawyer he’s connected to.

It has not been reported that Diddy, nor a court judge, has responded to Jones‘ latest accusations.
