Sunny Hostin Claims The Solar Eclipse & Recent NYC Earthquake Are Linked To Climate Change: ‘Or Something Is Really Going On’

Sunny Hostin‘s thoughts on the solar eclipse have sparked controversy.

During a recent Hot Topics segment on The View, the ladies weighed in on events like the earthquake in New York City on Friday (April 5).

Sunny Hostin said that during the shocking moment, the show’s makeup artist immediately put her coat on and said, “Jesus is coming” and “ran down the hallway.”

Sunny Hostin then referenced Monday’s (April 8) solar eclipse and the forthcoming arrival of cicadas insects in the US, which happens “every 17 years,” according to Whoopi Goldberg. 

Hostin claimed,

“All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on.”

Joy Behar pointed out,

“Earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change, it’s underground.”

Sunny Hostin deserves all the mockery she is getting for this clip.

Whoopi Goldberg also attempted to debunk Hostin’s claim that climate change was impacting the eclipse and said,

“They’ve known about the eclipse coming because eclipses happen and they actually can say when these things are going to happen. All of these folks saying ‘It’s a sign from God,’ God doesn’t give you warning. You think he gave the people at the Tower of Babble warning? ‘Oh I’m about to jack y’all up.’ No. God does stuff and then you figure ‘Oh, that’s probably ’cause I just …'”

The EGOT recipient then stated that one type of cicada arrives every 17 years, and another every “20 some odd years.”
