Suge Knight Doesn’t Think Diddy’s Legal Troubles Are Anything To ‘Cheer About,’ Despite Their Previous Feud: ‘It’s A Bad Day For Hip Hop’
It’s long been known that hip-hop moguls Suge Knight and Diddy aren’t the biggest fans of each other.
With the infamous West Coast vs. East Coast rivalry in the 1990s — spearheaded by late rap icons The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur — most would assume that their beef still stands today.

However, when asked about Diddy’s latest controversy, Suge Knight made it clear that he doesn’t wish any ill on his former enemy.
Speaking of his reaction to Diddy’s recent legal troubles, he stated,
“My first reaction…it’s not the reaction I thought I would have when it came to [Diddy]. You know what I mean? I thought it’d be a reaction, like, he got what he got coming ’cause everybody knows what’s been going on.”
Suge Knight furthered:
“My reaction was actually different because I felt like, d*mn. The first thing that came to my mind was, you know, ‘He has his sons, he has his daughters.’ My reaction was, first, about the kids. And the thing is… I feel it’s a bad day for hip-hop, [a] bad day for the culture.”

The Death Row Records co-founder then went on to say,
“It makes us all look bad.”
Doubling down on why he sympathizes with Diddy throughout the ongoing allegations, he added:
“I’m not the type of guy to cheer for people’s downfall. And if somebody gets killed or something happens to them, I’m not gon’ pop champagne bottles.”
Knight concluded by mentioning the possibility of the two having a sit-down at some point.
He said,
“If I have a problem with [Diddy], that’s for him and I to sit down in a room and resolve it. So, for the tragedy on both sides–[from] the victims to him, that’s definitely not nothing to cheer about.”
Undoubtedly, the jailed 59-year-old has come a long way from calling the Bad Boy Records mastermind out on the stage of the 1995 Source Awards.

If you remember, upon winning ‘Soundtrack of the Year’ for the Shakur-led classic film, ‘Above the Rim,’ executive producer Knight uttered into the mic:
“Any artist out there wanna be an artist, and wanna stay a star, and won’t have to worry about the executive producer tryna be all in the videos, all on the records, dancing, come to Death Row!”
Although having served as the CEO of Bad Boy Records, Diddy often appeared in the music videos of many artists on his roster.
Knight and Diddy’s beef seemingly continued throughout the years, with the sudden deaths of B.I.G. (1996) and Shakur (1997) leaving each of the hitmakers to question if the other’s entourage was involved.

Knight’s latest comments on Diddy are a part of TMZ’s ‘The Downfall of Diddy’ documentary, which just released on Tubi.
As previously reported, the 54-year-old tycoon has been at war with the law since his ex, songstress Cassie, filed a shocking lawsuit against him in November.
The “Me & U” phenomenon accused Diddy of multiple instances of sex trafficking and abuse that were said to have happened during their decade-plus romance.

But… that was only the tip of the iceberg for Diddy, as only more cases regarding similar crimes have followed.
