Barack Obama Reportedly Given Heads-Up About George Clooney’s Call For President Joe Biden To End His Re-Election Campaign
Former President Barack Obama seemingly doesn’t know where to stand regarding Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.
Reports claim that the 44th US president did nothing to prevent actor George Clooney from demanding Joe Biden end his second term bid, despite knowing about it beforehand.

Reportedly actor George Clooney, a prominent advocate for the Democratic Party, called Barack Obama prior to his controversial New York Times op-ed being published on Wednesday (July 10th) to give him the heads up. In case you’re unfamiliar, the article called for the sitting president to step aside as the Democratic nominee, as concerns over his ability to lead the country for another 4 years continue to grow. Anxieties about Joe Biden’s cognitive functionality and capabilities as president were exacerbated following his debate against Donald Trump last month.
In the piece, George Clooney alleged that the same seemingly incoherent Joe Biden that appeared during the debate was the same person he recently encountered while raising money for his campaign. Although Barack Obama has continued to show his former VP support throughout the ordeal, he may be singing a different tune behind closed doors. Upon getting word about Clooney’s rally against Biden, sources say he not only didn’t attempt to intervene but refused to take a stance for or against Clooney’s points in the article.

At this time, it doesn’t appear that Obama has responded to the claims publicly. Biden, however, has reiterated his intentions to remain in the race. In a video posted to his X (formerly Twitter) account in the days after the debate, he wrote:
“I’m not letting one 90-minute debate wipe out three and a half years of work. I’m staying in the race, and I will beat Donald Trump.”
