Jennifer Hough, Woman Suing Nicki Minaj’s Husband For Sexual Assault, Seeks In-Person Deposition From Kenneth Petty
Jennifer Hough is pressing forward in her legal battle against Kenneth Petty, husband of rapper Nicki Minaj, wanting him to appear for an in-person deposition to complete discovery.
Jennifer Hough, who claims that Kenneth Petty intimidated and threatened her after she rejected a bribe to retract her 1994 rape allegations, filed a motion urging the court to compel him to attend an in-person deposition.
Her lawyer halted her July 9 deposition, claiming harassment, after enduring over six hours of questioning.
Soon after, Kenneth Petty’s lawyer reportedly refused his deposition on July 16.
Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff shared the motion on X from Jennifer Hough’s lawyer, which stated,
“Inexplicably, Defendant Petty did not appear for today’s deposition, and Plaintiff had to incur the cost of reserving a court reporter and preparing for the deposition … Plaintiff respectfully requests that the court compel defendant Petty to reimburse the costs associated with his intentional failure to appear.”
The legal paperwork also requests permission to file a motion to force Petty to comply with outstanding document requests and demands a 60-day extension for fact discovery due to alleged delays caused by the defendants.
Previously, Hough had included Nicki Minaj as a defendant in the lawsuit but removed her from the case in a previous amendment.
