Justin Timberlake Gets Plea Deal In DWI Case, Will Plead Guilty to Traffic Offense

Justin Timberlake won’t have to worry about drunk driving charges anymore thanks to a plea deal.

The Grammy Award winner was able to hash out a deal that essentially means his DWI charge has been moved down to a less serious offense, a traffic violation. Reportedly, Justin Timberlake’s lawyer and prosecutors were able to come to an agreement that the celeb would cop to Driving While Ability Impaired, which is not the same as a drunk driving offense.

Sources familiar with the case told TMZ that now all Justin Timberlake will have to do is pay a $300 to $500 fine. The exact amount will be determined during a hearing scheduled for Friday (Sep. 13). In addition, JT’s driver’s license will remain suspended in New York for a year. However, this is reportedly normal and to be expected because he refused to submit to a breathalyzer test, which results in an automatic license suspension in New York.
