Kamala Harris Makes Her Views On Cannabis Clear: People Should NOT Be Going To Jail For Smoking Weed
Vice President Harris goes beyond the improvements implemented by the Biden administration in her opinion of marijuana legalization.
“I believe we have reached a juncture where we must acknowledge the necessity of legalizing this conduct and ceasing to prosecute it,” stated Harris in her initial remarks on the matter since her ascension as the Democratic presidential contender.
Harris said this during a 45-minute podcast All the Smoke interview with former NBA players Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.
She firmly believes that individuals “should not be going to jail for smoking weed,” according to Harris.
While his administration started the process to reclassify marijuana earlier this year, President Biden has refrained from advocating for legalization.
