This move will reportedly cement the couple’s ongoing investments in the city, as they already hold ownership in several other sports teams there, including the Kansas City Royals, Sporting KC and the Alpine Formula One team.
The WNBA has already announced that they will be bringing a team to Golden State in 2025, followed by franchises in Toronto and Portland in 2026. The league is reportedly eyeing locations for a possible fourth team they hope to establish by 2028, according to the report.
