DJ Tim Westwood Faces Criminal Charges As Several Black Women Allege Sexual Abuse & Misconduct

UK detectives reportedly submitted evidence of his alleged crimes to the country’s Crown Prosecution Service, who will decide whether or not the case should be prosecuted in court.

Westwood’s alleged behavior was initially exposed in an investigation conducted by BBC News and the Guardian back in 2022, which found a number of women accuse the 67-year-old of sexual misconduct between 1992 and 2017, the height of his career as a hip-hop DJ.
The report states that the women who spoke with BBC, reportedly all Black women, claim Westwood was predatory and engaged in unwanted sexual behavior and touching, additionally claiming he abused his position in the music industry.
Westwood has maintained his innocence in light of the allegations, although he notably stepped down from his DJ gig following the bombshell exposé a few years ago.
The CPS had not yet ruled on the matter at the time of this writing.
