Jamie Foxx Touches On Medical Scare As He Shares New Mantra: ‘No Bad Dayz’
Jamie Foxx is opening up about a new mantra he’s adopted in light of the health scare that left him fighting for his life last year.
The Oscar winner shared an image with the phrase “no bad dayz” to his Instagram account earlier today (November 12th), writing the caption:
“This is my mantra… After surviving something that I thought I would never go through… My good friend James who also happens to be my manager, gave me this phrase… I live by it now,”
Continuing:
“when you come through the darkness, the light looks brighter… and while I’m at it I want to say thank you to everyone that sent up a prayer… I needed it.”

Foxx was rushed to an Atlanta hospital back in April of 2023 due to an undisclosed medical emergency and spent several months in recovery until being discharged sometime in July.
He previously told reporters that he took an Advil and was “gone for 20 days,” claiming that he didn’t remember anything during that time.
Before his hospitalization, the actor was filming the upcoming film “Back In Action” alongside Cameron Diaz. While the nature of the illness has still not been shared, Foxx previously stated that he took an extended break from social media as he didn’t want fans to see “tubes” coming out of him.

Foxx will reportedly share a little more about the incident in his forthcoming Netflix comedy special “What Had Happened Was,” which will hit the streamer on December 10th.
