Deion Sanders Warns Colorado Players Against Smoking: ‘That Will Be Your Last Puff’
Head coach Deion Sanders isn’t taking any chances with his Colorado Buffaloes as they prepare for the Alamo Bowl.
In a video from the team’s hotel, Sanders warned players there’s no room for smoking:
“If I smell smoke on any floor or if I get someone that tells me somebody is smoking on that floor, that will be your last puff.”

When some players laughed, Sanders made it clear he was serious:
“I’m just trying to tell you — it will be your last puff. I hope it was good because that’s gonna be your last one. I promise you, if I smell smoke on your clothes at practice in the morning, at breakfast, at anything, that’s gonna be your last time.”
Welp, the stakes are high as the Buffaloes play in their first bowl game since 2020, and they haven’t won one since 2004. This year’s Alamo Bowl is set to take place on Saturday (Dec. 28) between Colorado and BYU.
