Boxer Claressa Shields Doubles Down On Criticism Of Fellow Female Champions: ‘They Been Haters’
Claressa Shields is clearing the air.
Earlier, Claressa expressed frustration over the lack of support from fellow female boxers regarding her recently released biopic, The Fire Inside:
“A whole biopic about my life & my journey in boxing, but only 2 female champions have said anything about it! But y’all love to call me a hater! FOH! These girls been hating on me! That’s why I shine so bright AND Still! GOD GONNA ALWAYS DO HIS BIG ONE FOR ME!”
Now, Claressa has taken to TheJasmineBrand’s comment section to double down on her stance, saying,
“It’s facts, I support all these girls at their fights, post all that. But they’ve been haters. I just acknowledged it because it needed to be said.”

She adds that even without support from the female boxing community, the film about her life is still doing well:
“The movie is also doing very great!!!! ?? without their a$$!”
The film, directed by Rachel Morrison, stars Ryan Destiny as Claressa and follows her journey, including her experience at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
