Sheryl Underwood On Why She Believes ‘The Talk’ Was Canceled: ‘We Lost The Components That Made Us Great’
Sheryl Underwood is sharing her thoughts on why The Talk came to an end.
Reflecting on the show’s early days, Sheryl Underwood said the panel was once made up of a “dream team five,” which included herself, Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne and Sara Gilbert. But as the lineup changed, so did the energy. “Once you get away from your dream team combination… do people really care?” she said.
She also pointed out that if a show isn’t cost-efficient and making money, it won’t last long in today’s landscape.
“Once we lost the components that made us great, it ain’t your season no more,” she concluded.

Still, Sheryl says she’d love to do another talk show one day.
