SHEIN & Temu To Adjust Prices Amid Trump’s Tariff Changes
SHEIN and Temu are warning U.S. shoppers that prices are about to rise… and they’re pointing to new tariff policies under Donald Trump as the reason.
In nearly identical messages sent to customers this week, the two Chinese e-retailers confirmed that they will be making “price adjustments” beginning April 25:
“Due to recent changes in global trade rules and tariffs, our operating expenses have gone up. To keep offering the products you love without compromising on quality, we will be making price adjustments starting April 25, 2025.”
The announcements follow Trump’s executive order set to take effect May 2, which will eliminate the “de minimis” exemption that currently allows packages under $800 to enter the U.S. without import duties.
SHEIN is encouraging shoppers to act fast and shop while they can before prices are altered.
