Naomi Campbell Announces She Won’t Be Attending 2025 Met Gala Amid Rumored Tension w/ Event Chair Anna Wintour

Naomi Campbell won’t be at this year’s Met Gala… and her absence comes as rumors swirl about tension with #AnnaWintour.

The supermodel took to IG ahead of fashion’s biggest night to confirm she won’t be attending, despite receiving an invite:

“Congratulations to Anna Wintour, the brilliant designers, the dedicated Met Gala team, and stunning attendees of tonight’s extraordinary celebration. I was so honored to be invited to tonight’s big event, but regretfully cannot make it.”

Naomi’s post seems to shut down rumors of tension with Anna Wintour. The talk started last fall at Harlem’s Fashion Row Awards, when Wintour joked about Naomi being “often late,” and Naomi replied during her speech, “It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady. I would much rather have this,” referring to Samira Nasr, who gave her an award instead of Wintour.
