‘RHOA’ Newbie Shamea Morton Opens Up About Fallout w/ Porsha Williams: ‘Our Friendship Should Never Have Been Up For Discussion’ w/ Other People

Shamea Morton wishes she could undo the drama between her and Porsha Williams.

During a candid interview on the Ricky Smiley Show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta first-time peach holder addressed what she would change about the currently airing season. She shared that she would right the wrongs between her and Porsha, whom she once considered a best friend.

“That’s my real friend… reality is real, right?…So the place that we’re in right now is hurtful.”

Shamea continued, explaining that she and Porsha simply have different perspectives on how events have unfolded. She also placed some blame on new people in Porsha’s life, suggesting they’ve contributed to the strain on their friendship. She added:

“I’ve never been one to allow anyone to talk down on my friendship… What’s happening on the other side, I have no idea. The fact that she’s allowing and listening to other people is ludicrous to me… Our friendship should never have been up for discussion.”

The fallout between Shamea and Porsha stems from a series of incidents both on and off camera. In a mid-season trailer, Shamea sheds tears over the brewing tension, highlighting the emotional toll it’s taken on her. Despite reaching out to Porsha in an attempt to reconcile, Shamea said she has yet to receive a response. As a result, she’s stepping back and allowing viewers to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Do you agree with Shamea that problems in friendships shouldn’t be shared with others?
