Angela Bassett Opens Up About TV Husband’s De@th On ‘9-1-1’: ‘I’m So Sorry, It Wasn’t My Choice’
Angela Bassett is mourning the loss of her on-screen husband.
Weeks after Peter Krause’s 9-1-1 character, Bobby Nash, passed, Angela shared with PEOPLE at the Met Gala, “I’m in mourning. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. It wasn’t my choice. I don’t know.”
She added,
“Keep hope alive. Maybe he’ll return in my dreams, you know, my memories.”
Bobby passed in the April 17 episode after using the last dose of an antidote to save fellow firefighter Chimney, marking the end of Peter Krause’s role as Angela’s on-screen husband since Season 2.

Angela also paid tribute on Instagram, writing,
“For eight seasons, this kind, funny, compassionate, talented actor became not only my trusted colleague but also a dear friend… I know this is hard for all of you. It’s hard for us, too.”
Peter responded with love, telling THR,
“I will miss my partner, Angela Bassett. Her strength and her sweetness, and us holding hands. We parted ways too soon.”
