Lizzo Says She Stopped Reading Online Comments After Suffering Anxiety Attacks: ‘All Viral Ain’t Good Viral’
Lizzo revealed on “Therapuss with Jake Shane” why she stopped reading online comments two years ago.
“All viral ain’t good viral. The internet don’t know that—they think all viral is good viral. It’s not,” she explained.
The singer shared how viral moments often triggered anxiety attacks, saying,
“I don’t read comments anymore and I don’t have context with anything anymore. I live in a bubble.”
She described TikTok comments as especially harsh, recalling the “backhanded compliments trend,” where mean remarks were disguised with cute emojis.
Lizzo called quitting reading comments “liberating.”
