Diddy Trial Judge Rejects Defense’s Claim That ‘Trauma Bond’ Testimony From Psychologist Is ‘Pseudoscience’

The judge in #Diddy’s trial refused to remove the testimony of a psychologist who explained the concept of a “trauma bond” between victims and abu$ers.

Court reporter Meghann Cuniff tweeted,

“The judge in Diddy’s trial today declined to strike the testimony of a psychologist who testified about ‘trauma bond’ between victims and abu$ers.”

The defense had argued that

“any testimony regarding the common behaviors of s*xual abu$e victims is pseudoscience.”

The judge rejected this claim, stating,

“The upshot of the defense’s argument is that any testimony regarding the common behaviors of s*xual abu$e victims is pseudoscience, an indictment on the entire field of psychology that the Court rejects and the defense cites no case for this proposition.”

#Diddy is currently facing charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
