Pharrell Williams Sues T-Shirt Company Spreadshirt For $14 Million Over Fake Billionaire Boys Club Merch
Pharrell Williams is taking legal action against online t-shirt platform Spreadshirt for allegedly profiting from counterfeit Billionaire Boys Club merch.
In a $14 million lawsuit filed by BBC Ice Cream LLC, Pharrell’s team claims Spreadshirt allowed sellers to upload knockoff designs, then printed, packaged, and shipped the items while using a “white-labeling” system to conceal its involvement.
“[Spreadshirt’s] conduct continues unabated, and the manufacture, publishing, advertising for sale, and sales of counterfeit and infringing products persist,” said his attorney Richard J. Pocker. “BBC brings this action to put a stop to this ongoing unlawful conduct and to hold [Spreadshirt] accountable for their actions.”

The suit accuses Spreadshirt of violating multiple federal trademark laws, including counterfeiting and false designation of origin. BBC is asking for injunctive relief, damages, and attorney fees.
Billionaire Boys Club was co-founded by Pharrell and Nigo in 2003 and continues to be a staple in the streetwear world.
