NASCAR Driver Breaks Collarbone After Falling From Car While Celebrating Series Win
A scary moment followed the conclusion of the Xfinity NASCAR Series over the weekend. ?
19-year-old rising racing star Connor Zilisch suffered a broken collarbone after falling off his car while celebrating his victory on Saturday (August 9) at Watkins Glen. After climbing through the window to the top of his car in Victory Lane, Connor slipped and hit the concrete headfirst. He was quickly treated and transported on a gurney.
Later that night, Connor shared an update confirming the injury: “Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse.??”

In a humorous follow-up post, he joked about how tough it’ll be to “comeback from this generational aura debt.”
Connor, who drives for JR Motorsports, earned his 6th Xfinity Series win of the season and currently leads the points standings. But following the fall, he’s now expected to miss multiple races.
