Foul Play Not Ruled Out In Baby Kidnapping Case After Police Note Inconsistencies In Mom’s Story

Foul Play Not Ruled Out In Baby Kidnapping Case After Police Note Inconsistencies In Mom’s Story
A mother’s role in her child’s disappearance is now under question.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is still searching for 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro after his mother reported he was kidnapped outside a store in Yucaipa, California.
Rebecca Haro told police she was changing Emmanuel’s diaper in the back of her SUV on Aug. 14 when she was assaulted and knocked unconscious. When she woke up, her baby was gone.

Police said they interviewed Rebecca and noted “inconsistencies” in her statements. When confronted, she declined to continue the interview. Investigators have not ruled out foul play. Rebecca’s husband’s troubling past has been a topic of discussion as well. In June 2023, Jake Haro was convicted of felony willful child cruelty from an incident involving one of his children. He’s due back in court next month over a parole violation.
Community members and even some family members who know the couple have brought forth concerns of their potential connection in Emmanuel’s disappearance.
