“Young Thug turned the Fulton County Courthouse into a stage for change by hosting an anti-violence, anti-gun, and anti-gang rally. He shared with his fans that the courthouse was the perfect place for this message because it changed his life reminding us that everyone deserves a second chance,” Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Thug, who had been banned from Atlanta due to probation terms until the restriction was lifted in December, announced the show on social media by posting his album cover with the words “LIVE FROM ATLANTA” along with the date and time.
“Stop the violence in this city man,” Thug told the crowd as he performed hits like “Ski” and “Digits.”
The livestreamed event also promoted his new album “UY SCUTI,” which dropped Sept. 26.
