Indiana Homeowner Charged w/ M@nslaughter In Fatal Sh**ting Of House Cleaner Who Arrived At The Wrong Home
An #Indiana homeowner has been charged after f@t@lly sh**ting a house cleaner who had mistakenly gone to the wrong house on Nov. 5 for a cleaning job in Whitestown. The victim, 32-year-old Maria Florinda Ríos Pérez de Velásquez, was found de@d on the front porch just before 7 a.m., with a g*nsh*t wound to the head. Authorities say she and her husband were in the process of entering the property using a key when the homeowner fired from inside.
Curt Anderson, 62, was taken into custody today (Nov. 17) and is being held without bail, booked on one count of voluntary m@nslaughter, jail records showed. Indiana is a stand-your-ground state, but Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood told reporters that Anderson “did not have a reasonable belief that that type of force was necessary, given all the facts.” Perez and her husband had four children, ranging in age from 11 months to 17.
